What’s 21-day aged beef?
The aging of beef is normally thought of as the time, in days, from slaughter until the beef is broken down into cuts. The average industry time for aging beef before cutting is about seven days.

Most of the beef offered for sale as retail cuts at supermarkets is aged from 5 to 7 days, which would be called moderately aged beef. At Stevens are beef is aged 21 days, to create the tender, flavorful cut of beef.

Aging of beef is practiced to varying degrees in the meat industry. Your personal preference for aged beef flavor strongly dictates how long you would age beef. Keep in mind that as the length of aging time increases, so does the aged beef flavor, the tenderness, and the weight loss. The processor must use valuable cooler space to age your beef, so you must expect to pay higher prices per pound because of the additional expense involved.

Does Stevens’ serve more than steak?
You bet! Pork, lamb, fresh fish, or pasta you name it, Stevens’ can prepare any entrée of your choosing to your specifications.  Please take a look at all our menus.  Lunch Menu, Dinner Menu, Lounge Menu or Pizza Menu.

Are walk-ins welcome?
Yes, but reservations are recommended.

Are children allowed?
Stevens’ is a steakhouse that caters to beef lovers of all ages. We’re not a crayon and placemat eatery, but we know that kids like fine food, too.


What’s the biggest group Stevens’ can handle on short notice?
If we’ve got the space, Stevens’ can take care of you. We recommend that parties of five or more call in advance to make sure we can accommodate you in a timeline fashion. Reservations always are recommended by either calling us at 847-599-8533.  


Can you cater to special-needs diets (allergies, etc.)?
If you’ve got special needs, please call us before you arrive so we can learn more about making your visit a pleasurable one. If you haven’t called in advance, be sure to inform your server.

Just how extensive is your wine list/drink menu?

What hours are you open?
Lunch - Monday – Friday 11am-2pm
Bar Menu - Monday – Friday 11am-10pm
Dinner - Monday – Thursday 5pm – 10pm - Friday – Saturday 5pm-11pm
Bar - Monday – Friday 11am – 1am - Saturday 5pm – 2am

Do I need a reservation?
That would depend on the size of your party or the day and time of the week.  it's always best to call ahead at 847-599-8533.  Parties of nine or more must make their reservations via telephone or in person if you’re in the neighborhood.  Or you could use our reservations link to make one online.

Is your place wheelchair friendly?
